Cynthia was out of town
this month. Fortunately, Diedre has
more than one friend, so she asked
her cool French friend, Marie-Line Grinda,
to show her the French New York. So
one fine Saturday morning in May, they were
off an running.

They
started their tour at Pastis. Pastis is
a French restaurant in the Meat Packing
District, 9 Ninth Avenue at Little
West 12th Street. They serve
a wonderful breakfast and the people-watching
is superb.

You
can see really cool celebrities at Pastis,
like Diedre and Marie-Line!
(I told you the food was good!)

Then
they were off to La Petite Coquette at 51
University Place www.thelittleflirt.com.
Marie-Line
had a bridal shower that afternoon
and Diedre needed a little something to
wear on a date.

Diedre Kilgore
Diedre, looking for
something to wear on her date, "So,
how about this? Is it a little too demure?"

Diedre Kilgore
"Or this? Is
it too much for a first date? But it matches
my whip! Well, what do you think? Would
it scare him off?"

Marie-Line

Marie-Line is hard
at work shopping for the bridal shower.
"Which one would keep the groom up
all night?"

Marie-Line Grinda
"Meoooow!
This is definitely
it!" Marie-Line makes her purchase!

And with one last lingering look at the
La Petite Coquette
shop window,
they leave!

And go home to relax
and recuperate from a hard day's shopping
in the French New York! "So,
until next time, this is Diedre signing
off!"
