New York Philharmonic Offstage will feature artists from the Philharmonic’s season in conversation with WQXR 105.9 FM host Jeff Spurgeon,
often including brief performances, followed by CD/DVD signings, and a chance to meet the artist. This season’s Offstage events include mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato (February 21, 2012), cellist Alisa Weilerstein and her brother, New York Philharmonic Assistant Conductor Joshua Weilerstein (March 7), pianist Garrick Ohlsson (April 16), and New York Philharmonic Musicians (June 28).

Additionally, the New York Philharmonic and Lincoln Center will offer Engage at the Atrium, free Pre- Concert Talks and Post-Concert “Casual Conversations,” on January 4, March 28, and April 25, 2012.

Previewing the New York Philharmonic’s Rush Hour concerts on those dates, beginning 5:30 p.m. prior to the 6:45 p.m. concerts, the 30-minute Pre-Concert Talks will be led by guest music scholars. And immediately following the Rush Hour performances at 8:00 p.m., concertgoers are invited to lively “Casual
Conversations” facilitated by one of Lincoln Center’s Performing Arts Docents. There will also be special Casual Conversations designed for Phil Teens ticket holders, who also receive discounted tickets for Rush Hour Concerts.

The David Rubenstein Atrium is located at Broadway, between 62nd and 63rd Street.

All events will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be guaranteed admission for a certain number of Philharmonic subscribers and donors for the Offstage events. All attendees of Engage at the Atrium will receive a 10% discount at ’wichcraft with a Philharmonic concert ticket
