Designer Jay Godfrey's has stated that his Spring 2016 Collection was inspired by the work of the late interior designer and architect David Collins.

Godfrey's collection was a cohesive tribute to Collins' work - clean, crisp, contemporary and white. The designs were minimalistic, beautifully cut and sexy. Godfrey just hit a home run.

About Jay Godfrey (from the press release from MAO PR):

New York-based designer Jay Godfrey is the founder and creative director behind his eponymous collection of sleek, sexy and sophisticated designs. Perpetually inspired by the chic New York woman, Godfrey’s goal as a designer is to meld the classic tailoring techniques of Savile Row with modern silhouettes and luxurious fabrics. The result is his distinctive contemporary collection of dresses and separates that accentuate the female figure. Godfrey describes himself as a minimalist who embraces color in an unmistakably sensual way.

Having only been in business for nine years, Godfrey has quickly cultivated his signature aesthetic, which perfectly lends itself to the fashion-forward and glamorous woman. The collection has caught the media’s attention and has been featured in WWD, ELLE, Cosmopolitan and the New York Post. Godfrey’s designs have also captured a loyal celebrity following and he is proud to have dressed Eva Longoria, Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian, Laverne Cox, Olivia Palermo and Taraji P. Henson.

Godfrey resides in New York City with his wife Dara and two little girls, Allegra and Bardot.
